Mission
Our mission is to provide children with love and attention in a safe, healthy, and stimulating learning environment. Children receive individualized care in a warm and loving home, where they can feel safe and happy and can begin to build confidence and a positive self-image. Our low enrollments and high teacher to student ratio allows us to focus attention on the children so that they feel empowered and fulfilled. Our home environment adheres to the Family Child Care Environment Rating Scale (FCCERS) and for children age two and above, we offer an age-appropriate, preschool curriculum.
SOARING WINGS incorporates a variety of teaching methods and philosophies including Waldorf, Montessori, and Reggio Emilia, which allows for a diverse, experiential learning environment. The period from birth through age five is the critical time for children to develop their physical, emotional, social, and cognitive skills they will need to be successful in school and the rest of their lives. Through the emulation of the nuclear family, SOARING WINGS believes that childcare providers become not only an extension of the child’s primary social group, but also an integral part of their healthy transformation into being responsible and happy adults.
